CLASSIFICATION OF THE METHODS FOR THE SEPARATION OF MINERALS:

Physical methods of the separation:

• Flotation separation of minerals. There are more than 20 types of flotation separation of minerals  (wet).
• Gravity separation of minerals. There are more than 12 types of gravity separation of minerals (dry and wet).
• Magnetic separation of minerals. There are more than 14 types of magnetic separation of minerals (dry and wet).
• Electrical separation of minerals. There are 6 types of electrical separation of minerals (dry).

Chemical methods of the separation
Chemical separation. There are 7 types of leaching of minerals (wet).

Special methods of the separation
There are more than 15 types of special methods of the separation (dry and wet).

Combined methods of the separation
There are more than 30 types of combined methods of the separation (dry and wet).

Preliminary methods of the separation
Pretreatment. There are more than 10 types of preliminary methods of the separation (dry and wet).
